Hilton Head Island Beaches are dog friendly, however there are time restrictions. During the height of the summer, dogs are allowed only during certain hours. From the 1st of April before Memorial Day through Labor Day, dogs are not allowed on the beach from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. From October 1st to February 28th, dogs are welcome all day as long they are on-leash. Make sure you remove your pets waste and follow the rules as the beaches are patrolled by local authorities. Those who don’t adhere to the beach regulations are subject to fines up to $500 each.
