Hobie Island Beach Park is a dog friendly beach that is popular for windsurfing, kayaking and standup paddleboarding and boasts scenic views of Downtown Miami’s skyline. The beach is located directly off the Rickenbacker Causeway en route to Key Biscayne. The water is quite shallow and clear, so perfect to wade through. Dogs can roam both on and off-leash as long as they are under your control.
If water sports is your thing, you will find an assortment of water sports rental equipment, windsurfers, instruction sessions, paddle boards and kayaks.

Note that there is a toll of $1.50 to cross the causeway to get to the beach if you are coming from Miami, however entry to the beach itself is free. Parking is free, although is might be hard to find a spot unless you arrive early, as the beach is very popular.
