Baker Beach lies at the foot of rugged serpentine cliffs west of the Golden Gate and is a great place to take your dog and take in the panoramic views of the surrounding landmarks.
Although the large waves, undertow and rip currents make the beach unsafe for swimming, you can fish or check out the shorelife along the beach and rocky shoreline.
Dogs are permitted off-leash under voice control on Baker Beach north of Lobos Creek.
Dog must be kept on-leash in the following areas: coastal trail, picnic areas, sand ladder, beach access trails, & parking lots.
