Pelican Point Beach is located at the end of Miramontes Point Road in Half Moon Bay, California. The beach is close to Pelican Point RV Park and is surrounded by Half Moon Bay Golf Course, community and the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay Resort. From the parking lot, follow the paved path towards the water and you will find a set of stairs leading to the beach. The beach is a long walk north below the resort, except at high tide. On the other side of the resort is the Redondo Beach Passage. When the tide goes out, you’ll find tide pools that you can explore in either direction from public access to Pelican Point Beach. The larger and better known Half Moon Bay tide pool is located to the north of the resort. Paved paths follow the cliffs to the lodge, where you can dine at one of the restaurants or enjoy the view from there.
