Coronado Dog Run Beach

Dog Run Beach is the northern beach of Coronado Beach in front of Sunset Park. Unlike any other beach along the coast of Coronado Island, dogs can be walked on this beach. When you get here, you’ll see a sign at the northern end of the beach that says a designated off-leash area, but keep in mind that dogs must be on a leash from the parking lot to the designated area. Across the high fence is Breaks Beach, within Naval Air Station North Island. The Dog Run Beach Parking Lot is located at the north end of Ocean Drive outside the Naval Base entrance. Across the street is Sunset Park, a large grassy park with fields and a children’s play area. Nearby are Coronado Beach and the restaurants of Hotel del Coronado.
