Olde Port Beach

Mesa Lane Beach is a narrow beach near West Mesa, Santa Barbara. Here you have to walk down steep stairs to get to the beach. Ironically, there are more stairs to Mesa Lane Beach than Thousand Steps Beach to the east of here. West of Mesa Lane Beach, the beach remains narrow under the Douglas Family Reserve, eventually opening at Arroyo Bro Beach, also known as Hendry Beach. To get to Mesa Lane Beach, close Cliff Drive, follow Mesa Lane out to sea and follow Edgewater Way to the end. There is no parking at this location, but there is on-street parking on Mesa Lane and other nearby streets. A cobblestone path leads to the top of the stairs.
