Casuarina Coastal Reserve

The Casuarina Coastal Reserve Experience

Casuarina Coastal Reserve has 8 kilometres of unspoilt beaches with endless views of the beautiful coastline and is popular for its pristine sandy beaches, picnic areas, walking/cycle paths, and wildlife. You can also learn about Darwin’s history through the World War II artillery observation posts.

Dogs and horses are allowed in some areas and others not. You will find that there is adequite signage at all areas informing you of the rules in relation to pets.

Dogs must be on leash:

– on the beach around Sandy Creek
– on walking tracks and trails
– in the picnic areas at Rapid Creek, Dripstone Cliffs, Lee Point.

Dogs can be off leash under strict owner management:

– between Rapid Creek and Sandy Creek
– from Sandy Creek to Lee Point rocks.

Horses are permitted between Rapid Creek, Dripstone Cliffs and Dripstone Point.
