Nine Mile Beach in Tuncurry allows dogs off-leash to the north of the beach access track at Beach Street. The southern section of beach is also dog friendly (from 5-9am and 5-8pm), however dogs must be leashed. With a kiosk, playground and barbecue facilities this is a very popular beach spot for families.
The beach also facilitates horse riding, fishing, surfing and 4WD access.
