Blackwattle Bay Park is a small, 24-hour dog-friendly park that offers a great place for dogs to cool off and play in the water during hot summer days. The park is more suited for smaller dogs, but all sizes are welcome to enjoy the water. It’s one of the four parks located along Glebe Foreshore, covering the area between Bicentennial Park and Pyrmont Fish Markets.
The park offers a variety of amenities for visitors of all ages, including a shared walking, running, and biking track, picnic and barbecue areas, and a children’s playground. Visitors can enjoy beautiful views of the city, Anzac and Harbour bridges and boats moored opposite, as well as a glimpse into Sydney’s history with beautiful old houses with gardens, sandstone steps leading to the water, ancient fig trees, and remnants of the area’s industrial past. This is an excellent spot for dog owners who are looking for a clean and safe place for their furry friends to swim.
