Take your dog for a walk along one of the coastal paths, plus, there are several beaches with leash-free zones.
Emerald Beach, located 20km from Coffs Harbour near Look-at-me-now Headland, is a popular spot for surfing and a great destination for a family holiday. Visitors can also enjoy activities such as fishing, swimming, and barbecuing in the picnic area. The beach is situated south of Woolgoolga and about 15 minutes north of Coffs Harbour, it has a quieter atmosphere compared to some of the other beaches in the area, and is also considered safe for swimming. After swimming, families can take a beach walk around to Look-at-me-now Headland or visit the playground in the park behind the beach.
Surfing enthusiasts will appreciate the excellent beach break and southern left-hand reef break at Emerald Beach. Additionally, visitors can walk their dogs on a lead north of Fiddamans Creek and south of Diggers Head. There are also cafes behind the beach, where visitors can enjoy a meal while taking in the coastal views or grab a coffee to go.
