Lake Burley Griffin offers popular dog friendly walking paths of up to 30km long.
There is a nice 5km walk from bridge to bridge where you can take in some of the nice cool lake breezes and picturesque scenery of Canberra. If you prefer to go for a longer walk, you can check out the two dog friendly swimming spots along the way.
On Barrenjoey Drive, Barrenjoey Peninsula, there is a beautiful dog friendly area boasting shady trees and a long stretch of grasslands. Here there are two dog friendly beaches that are shallow enough for dogs to paddle in.
On Brown Street, Yarralumla is a nice little beach which is the perfect spot for dogs to cool off.
